I've officially 36 weeks pregnant and finally feel ready. Well, sort of ready. I don't think I'll ever feel ready to go in to labor, but at least I'm a bit more prepared now.
Thank goodness for the quick visit from my parents. With their help (let's be honest, they did it all) we got the curtains up in the room, moved the crib and glider into new positions, washed all of the little guy's clothes (he is going to be one well dressed little boy) put together a bookshelf, and installed and tested the car seat. All in about 36 hours. Thanks mom and dad!
Still on the to-do list:
Finish shopping for a few things to bring to the hospital
Pack hospital bag
Pack diaper bag
Buy clock for baby's room
Organize closet in baby's room
Finish thank you notes from baby showers (why does this always take me so long to do?!)
I thought by 36 weeks panda would be getting so big that he'd have a hard time kicking, punching and rolling around in there, but I'm definitely wrong. It's like he's trying out for a gymnastics team - constantly rolling around, pushing and otherwise making his presence known. Like I could forget, panda man.
A and I are excited to meet panda, but I am more than happy to wait another four weeks. One of my biggest pregnancy/labor fears is going into labor early (or at work). Fingers crossed we can continue baking for a few more weeks and give me some time to get over this disgusting cold.

Little boxes, on the hillside, little boxes made of ticky tacky...And so I begin my adventure in blogging.
It may be a silly reference to "Weeds," but it's an appropriate description for my life in suburbia and my attempt to break free from the ticky tacky, cookie cutter life I've always thought I was supposed to live and enjoy.
Here we go...
